Rugaciune de ziua mea / My prayer for my birthday

O Dumnezeul meu! O Dumnezeul meu! Uneste inimile servitorilor Tăi, şi dezvăluie-le scopul Tău cel mare. Fie ca ei urmeze poruncile Tale şi să respecte legea Ta. Ajută-i, Doamne, în efortul lor şi acorde-le puterea de a Te sluji. O, Dumnezeule! Nu-i lăsa de izbelişte, ci ghidează-le paşii cu lumina cunoaşterii Tale, şi înveseleşte-le inimile  cu dragostea Ta. Cu adevărat, Tu eşti Mângâietorul şi Domnul lor.

Şi pentru toţi cei care citesc aceste rânduri:

Suntem ”cel mai nobil şi perfect element creat”.

O my God!  O my God!  Unite the hearts of Thy servants, and reveal to them Thy great purpose.  May they follow Thy commandments and abide in Thy law.  Help them, O God, in their endeavor, and grant them strength to serve Thee.  O God!  Leave them not to themselves, but guide their steps by the light of Thy knowledge, and cheer their hearts by Thy love.  Verily, Thou art their Helper and their Lord.

And for every one who reads this:

We are "the noblest and most perfect of all created things".
